Front Suspension Restoration (Pontiac Fiero) | Ŝ̶͇́â̵͕̰͝t̶̺̅͑̒ȗ̸̖̤̍r̸̨͈̪͔̓̈́͝d̸͉̱ạ̴̝̉̓ý̷̫̲̯ Projects
Yeah but I don't install it, so is it really a full restoration? Maybe.

I've been watching these videos for the Fiero and I'm so happy to see it road worthy all these videos are awesome to watch
Eastwood came through with that nice offer. Powder coating is such a great durable finish.
you should really try not to powder coat without stuff down on the floor...
Guess I'm a weirdo for wanting to listen to your voice while I do school work :/
Your repetitiveness is annoying
Imagine how annoying it must've been to be the one doing the repetitive work.
I’m one of the weirdos who just likes to hear your voice. You’re like a friend of the friendless.
There should be a list of all ocd mechanics in every city..sure it would take more than triple the time to get your car back but it would be done... certified ocd medical certificate beside the mechanic diploma.
Yep its comfirmed. He is the pewdiepie of fieros. Hahaha peace dude. You look sexy af.
How many cans of black paint did you go throu on this build😅
Good work! For future projects I might suggest "bluing" or "japaning" the bolts you re-use, rather than painting them.
Could you do a video on how to make an electrolysis bath?
Yeah those really did look like shit
Eastwood was very good to you kid
Seeing that you have a welder and welding skills, why not put a little brace bar across the bottom of the control arm bushing area to keep them from squeezing in or spreading out when changing the bushings?
That radiator support repair was legit
I like hearing the sound of your voice. :P
YES
You should try powder coating some time
just a question? Any reason you didnt do like a 2k clear over the automotive enamel from the can? Ive had bad luck when not putting clear down on especially suspension parts. Just wondering. Great Video!
Mate, I love your work. I also love the fact that you've started swearing. It's about time too. It wasn't natural hearing 'gosh' and 'darn' when the correct response is a full blown expletive. Now all you need is a decent steel workbench rather than a rickety wooden thing (I'm just jealous of all the free tools and toys you are getting...) Keep up the good work, cobber. This old Aussie is thoroughly enjoying it!
So much love, so much passion. And the music is just perfect. Best of luck to you.
If you ever tackle something like this again (mostly the subframe), grab a kiddie pool, and do the electrolysis route. Couple days in the bath.
Oh yeah... approve of the self etching, but the enamel doesn’t last. Use VHT frame and chassis paint. It’s an epoxy and far far tougher. A) check the user name. B) been doing this kind of stuff for ~45 years.
You modified a f*cking toaster oven in order for it to facilitate a Fiero resurrection.... Now THAT'S dedication and resourcefulness! That's why I love this f*cking series, and this f*cking channel. You go, Mr. Finger!!!! :)
Don't call me a weirdo because I like listening to your voice AS WELL as watching you restore a pretty much dead car! You're the weirdo here but I like your content
Great work. Looking amazing.
My 1987 car is jealous of the Fiero and its refreshed suspension bits! Nice job!
Love your work Sir!
I like how he adds minecraft music
Realized that this intro tune has me thinkin of that hit tune by IceJJfish... "something about you girl", or such... anyway. Great restoration. I've got a fiero like that, Formula version. Stripped for building something sporty with a Alfa Busso engine.. although in scary slow pace. Can Never find time for it...
hello, i would like to buy one of those kits from eastwood the corona virus prevents me (european) from buying said kits from eastwood dont be like corona virus :(
Love this channel you should watch Budget Buildz He is restoring a Porsche Targa almost like what you are Doing :) Keep up the good work makes me want to Get a Fiero someday
Came for the time travel, stayed for the automobile repair. Impressive.
Sht, im a wierdo
"Was it the udon noodles I have instead of human arms?" LOL! I just accidentally woke up my kid!
What happened to your hand? That pink spot looks like it had to have hurt at least a little bit
I'm kinda worried about the springs. Doesn't heat treating them potentially remove the springiness? I really don't know but I think it's possible, but I also don't know at what temps etc.
Hello. This is oddly fun, even though I'm not a gear pro. I followed a cat and it lead me here. Thank you for the video!
It takes a extreme amount of time and patience to do a project like this. I give you much respect for it, you do a great job of showing the frustration that comes with cars as well.
I love your work and really admire your youth and spirit, but for the love of G-d would you put some safety glasses on???
I like the videos and have followed this whole series. Good job with the separate projects so far. However, I can do without the bad language. Thanks
I like hearing your voice. Mine would be a lot more shrill :)
So damn cathartic
my name is not Broden Kelly, my name is MAN BEAST!
I see that mr2 in the background!!! :D next build ?
Eastwood, please send this guy some Por 15
12:57 Matrix Phone Call?
All i’m saying I’m not here for the other 10% if u know what I mean.
Didn't you get the memo? You're not supposed to have that much fun editing video. ;)
I am hooked, a brilliant effort all round, I'm over the pond in the UK and getting a massive buzz over watching this car come back to life. Kudos to you Ron, I'm really enjoying each episode and your diligence. I have a 50 year old classic car and I have to rely on a very understanding garage to keep it running. Maybe one day, I'll start to have a go myself. Keep going and I cannot wait to see the full transformation.
This is my favorite series on YT right now! I always wanted a Fiero as a kid, and I love what Ronnie is doing. I can’t wait for more eps!
Dam fine job Ron!!
I realize you're almost finished, however, if you ever get stuck in the future for information, or parts, maybe this guy can help www.mlive.com/news/saginaw/2009/08/pontiac_fiero_sparks_midland_m.html
I like to hear your voice ...
Ive been following this series since ep 1 and i gotta say im so invested. Awsome series bro and i reaaalllyyy hope you do it again when the fiero is done
Plz meet with the dude who gave u the cAr and show him it
We want... sorry... we NEED a new video my friend ! Pleeeeeaassse
Slav Squat at 1:58
Once the steering rack and suspension are done, is it just painting the rest of the exterior of the car? Fine work by the way.
Ron, OMG Bro, I'm with U Bro! Better yet I'm with "TheDungeondelver"... I mean ice cold brewskez Bendge watching. I Love it Man, Be E-Z
Damn fine work
new vid common i'm getting impatient
When are you uploading again I can’t wait anymore
"I don't know how it got bent!" My wife even laughed at that. Of course I made her watch it! She usually has me buy 2 of some things because she knows I will break one..... This car is going to be awesome, it already is. I echo others, when it's over, I'm going to watch it over again.
another month down not even a update :(
Gaz3k, well if you ever decide to start, that’s where constant updates will be.
@Ronald Finger i don't do Instagram
I’m always posting updates on Instagram
waiting for next part
Well done, my friend. This is one of my favorite series on YT
I'm getting to the point of anticipating the bodywork and exterior restoration. I foresee the sale price of this restored Fiero exceeding 25,000... Custom leather interior maybe?
@Nelson Syphus I've seen every episode, what's your point? How does watch part 5 answer my post? Bodywork, paint, and leather interior have nothing to do with part 5
🤦🏻♂️ watch part5
Was the main subframe rusty? This is a blow to perfectionism!)
Next vid?
YOU BETTER BUFF THOSE HUBS BEFORE YOU REMOUNT THE WHEELS
@Ronald Finger Thankyou. My Discount Tire PTSD can rest now
I did, don’t worry!
I will hate when this finishes. Watching them has been a relaxation for me. I'll hate when it ends.
I wish I hadn't discovered this series until it was complete. I want to binge through the entire restoration.
A hydro press would have made my life much easier, but discovered just putting them bushings in the freezer for 24 hours makes them slide right in with much less effort.
You make me miss my old Fiero, you are doing great work!!
LOVE the Unfiction moment at 12:30
whenn u relise next episode?
Be very careful with those springs. Any hairline cracking caused by rusting can penetrate into them and weaken them, causing them to snap or shatter suddenly. I wouldn't ever go to the trouble of sanding or painting them, as there's a good chance of the paint cracking due to the spring compression, and the cracks trapping more moisture in there. Also it's good to have new springs to go with the new shocks. They can get a little baggy with time. I've had a spring snap while I was doing 50mph down a tree lined road. It dug into the tyre and was less than a milimeter away from going through the cords and blowing out. Good work though. Some of those parts looked beyond help before, but look new now.
Son, how much money have you spent on this car thus far, other than the $100 initial cost. At some point you should really consider what is called -- point of demising returns. If this were a classic Firebird or Camaro, a Charger or a Challenger, a Corvette or some other type of muscle car, I can understand the amount of time and money you're putting into this build, but a Fiero...?!?!? Really??? Fieros were crap cars when they were brand new... what the heck do you want to do pouring so much money into a car that will never be worth what you put into it? I can understand the trill of rebuilding "barn find" type of car... but they abandoned this car, because it wasn't worth fixing. Don't waste your hard earned money on a car that is at best equivalent to a Gremlin.
Its been 20 days.. we need more Ronald! lol..
This will end up being one of the cleanest Fiero's on the road... Looking forward to the external cosmetics at the end..
When you first took on the project, I was worried that you would just get it back on the road and be done with it. You've done an amazing job mate. Your commitment and attention to detail are second to none.
I just like your voooooice
Следуещее видео покраска кузова?
Great video as always can't wait to see it done
I just wonder where he is now. You know who I'm talking about.
This is best car restoration ever....
When will the next video be out ..... I can’t wait!
Yos new video
I'm here for the weird, random spooky stuff since Night Mind covered you on his channel a few weeks ago. But your voice is also incredibly soothing and DAMN if watching you restore all of these car parts isn't hella satisfying.
Ah, springs... There's absolutely nothing to wor..... BAM!
How a $100 project car became a 5 figure investment
This is a fun series to watch. I'd like to offer a suggestion, though. Try a wire wheel on your angle grinder. It works much better than using a drill mounted wire wheel.
Today at the railway station I was waiting to be picked up. Someone drove by in a gorgeous white Pontiac Fiero (which are rare here in central Europe; it was probably the first one I ever saw in real). I immediately had to think of this channel. Great work!
Ok Ronald time for another episode LOL it's a long time in between ya know !!!!
Love watching you restore this car. My wife and I had an ‘84 fiero in the late ‘90’s. Loved that little car. I would to find one and do the same thing your doing, but money and a location is a problem. Lol! Can’t wait to see it completely done.
They say Millennials aren't into cars much....even more so ones that can drive a manual transmission. I have to say I was never a real fan of the Iron Duke, but then again the one in my father's '88 Grand Am had 215K miles on the clock when he traded it in. I love how you are showing so much love to a car that was semi-unloved in its day. Though I would have uprated the suspension personally, I like how you are basically keeping it stock and not trying to make it much more than it always was. You are a good storyteller keep it up!
yes, i'm just the weirdo that likes to hear your voice. but why do i have to be a weirdo... doo doo head
Awsome videos you have got me inspired to redo the fieros I already have. One is exactly like the one you have. lol The other is a GT. Ho I also have one I bought is 80% in the process of turning into a ferrari testarosa. For someone with limited experience on auto mechanics skills you sure didn't show it. You did a great Job.
love u dude
Man he prolly won’t ever see this comment BUT Ronald PLEASE, PLEASE give us the the re paint video of the car and fix all the missing and broken pieces on the outside. That’s probably the most Satisfying of a car rebuild in my opinion
