Naked but Not Afraid | 1985 Fiero 2M4 Revival - Part 9

I have no idea what the guy narrating was talking about. There's nothing here about the thesis of this video being "Good Enough". Unless... Unless what I just wrote is what he was talking about? Damn, he's good.

I forgot to mention it in the video, but hey check out the Eastwood products that I used in the video.

    • I am a little late to watch this one. But I enjoyed the series a lot Ronald. It's a little ironic putting all this effort in a car that was never really appreciated, even when new. But maybe that's just the point isn't it. If the Fiero ever gains cult status, that will be mainly on you my friend. You're a wizard! 👍🍀😎

  • Hey Ronald. I am enjoying the restoration on your Fiero. I recently just re located my grandparents old 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT. It was sent to a local junkyard here in NC, long story short it was saved somehow from being crushed and I found it 15 years later last September of 2020. Got to see it in person. Watching your videos makes me excited to being apart of the Fiero Community. I can’t wait to get ours back and get it running and driving again

  • really enjoyed all ten episodes. you did a really good job of restoring your Fiero, it was a good idea that you restored the undercarriage now instead of later. That way you can enjoy your ride instead of constantly working on it. Your type of restoration versus ground up is that this care you can drive every day without worrying about damaging expensive paint or damaging expensive, interior pieces. Yep, this Fiero is going to be fun to drive for years to come. Looking forward to the video of the paint job.

  • Soooooo. Love what you have and are doing. But after a night of chips dips, 6 pack and knowing I’ll hate myself in the ohhh. Later in the morning... I realized I was completely sane when I quit rebuilding cars newer than 1970. It’s a wonder GM avoided going bankrupt...... oh well maybe I’m forgetting recent history. Seriously, the Fiero looked promising when it first hit motor trend magazine. But once Inset in brand new one bright red with at interior 1984 Fiero, the first to hit the dealership in Artesia New Mexico......I promptly left and purchased a Chevy Z-28 Camero....... which in truth was built only marginally better. I think the dash and door rattles started at about mile 3000 and by 10,000 miles I had pulled the door panels and dash in search of where to stuff sound deadening I had pulled from cars at the junk yard...... back when junk yards let you walk in and pull what ever you wanted and charged you what they felt as you left.

  • Make sure to put a stated value on the insurance policy of your car for about $30k. If you get in one accident with it, this car is likely totaled. The book value on these is probably $3-5k. You have a million hours into this and built it from the ground up. You should insure it for the value of what you think it is worth. Also, stated value policies do not cost that much more.
