Selling the Bike (Finale) | ZR-7S Project Part 13

All good things must come to an end at some point. I sold the ZR-7S, but I'm okay with that.

  • I almost shed a tear because I felt unfulfilled. You molded that lower part and we never saw it installed, it never got that new muffler, and you never fixed the seat. But you sold it, just like the other one. I guess I'm too OCD. I would have never sold it until I was confident nothing more could be done to it. I feel like I watched this whole series for it to not have a true ending.

    • @Ronald Finger I see. I understand the whole student debt thing; I'm almost 40 and mine aren't paid off. Admittingly your Fiero series is far more in-depth, seeing as it was what drew me to your channel. I love everything 80s, and that car just EXUDES 80s. Hey, I understand. For you, the experience gained working on the bike far outweighs any sort of profit you made. It was just hard seeing it go after bingeing both this series and the other bike you and your brother worked on. I thought for sure you'd keep that one for sentimental reasons since you and your brother worked together, but that's just me. I couldn't do what you do because I'd end up keeping everything!! 😅

    • I actually sold the bike to help fund the Fiero project and that series is far better than anything from this bike series. I would have loved to finish this bike, but money was tight, as it usually is with a college student surviving on loans and a part time job. I chose to work on what held a place in my heart over something that I was just winging with no real goal in mind. The Fiero project has given me the opportunity to work on these projects as my full time job and there are more motorcycle projects to come, complete with a beginning, middle, and an end.

  • Surprised you didn't replace the muffler...could you have earned a little more on it? How long did you have the bike and how many mikes did it have when you bought/sold it?

    • Barely, but yes! Also I’m probably never going to make an iron man helmet again. I spent two years on this one and I want to move on to other things

  • Im a little bummed its leaving. The zr7s series motivated me to get a lot of the small details handled on mine. Keep up the great content.
