Merry Christmas, everyone! In the spirit of the season, all merch of mine is going to be 15% off until New Years Day. The coupon code is "SMUDGE" because of the freaking smudge on the lens that is prevalent throughout this video that I didn't notice until editing started. Unfortunately, my Patreon is still full price at $1, but my Instagram (@fingerprintsworkshop) is free to follow.
Simply love this series on this Fiero, and hoping you don’t lose interest before it’s completed. I understand that utter and complete frustration when putting things together on a long project like this. Please hang in there take a break when you need to and get back on it. Thank you so much such great entertainment.
I'm excited too see what you build next do you have a release date yet for your next video?
if you need parts plus we scored some from michigan flood
have 86 exact same as yours but v6 se .i have 5 84 to 87s in ontario
This looks so good bud, love a good retro restore job! Spot on!!
Loose hole and something large and stiff.................
I can't Unsee Pewdiepie in this clip 14:55
I was waiting on a Bad Obsession Motorsport shoutout. Nobody can bracket quite like Nik.
The car looks great. I would try to move away from using super glue. You can remove the repair plug from the head liner and redo it with a glue that doesn't harden. It is a beautiful car. My friend had a red Fiero and it was an interesting little car.
A little bit of automotive grease (or even Vaseline) over the bulb connectors keeps them water resistant and easier to take out in my experience.
28:33 - I see what you did there.... you sly dirty dawg!
Very nice preview picture xD
4:02 - Best line ever... and probably the most action some people might be getting in these times. LOL
Those transitions tho damnnnn
28:22 hehe, I get that reference.
This is the best resto series on YT!!!!!
A lot of work but I would have wet sanded and polished before puttin all that trim back on, there's some epic orange peel in that paint :)
"Look...at...this..." **Proceeds to an Old Spice ad containing a shirtless Isaiah Amir Mustafa**
you should've recolored the mirror wires that way you or someone else doesnt get mixed up in the future
Focus your camera and clean your lens, Ronald! jkjk i've been here since you've started this project! Time flies doesn't it?
When she complains that it's too small... Me: 2:26
I really enjoyed watching this restoration of the fierro
Imagine if you could put s14 tail lights on it
I just realized that only one side has an air intake and now I can't unsee it :(
GM engineers? What engineers? They're jerry riggers.
I LOVE this series. I know it is more frustrating than we see but damn have you done a good job with this car. It’s my favourite thing on MNthe at the moment.
this is more like a Horror series
This is incredible! I watched the whole series , it is nothing but inspiring and breathtaking to see. I'm pretty sure it gave you not only the bravery required but the skill as well.
The electric flock intrahepatically cry because chicken diagnostically wail amongst a faint fair unshielded. lackadaisical, three pancake
Anyone know why a generation put linoleum over hardwood? Wood floors used to be common and said “cheap”. Linoleum was new and different. Everyone had wood floors, NOT everyone had something else. Today it sounds ridiculous, not so 50 years ago. You’re welcome 👍
"Another example of a loose hole that just needs to be filled with something large and stiff for everything to be okay." Greatest automotive repair comment ever...
Hey Ronald did you hear the one about the two car Antennas that were engaged and got married? The wedding wasn't so hot but the 'RECEPTION' was great 😜
Yes finbally!
15:46 mistakes like these are something that happen to me a lot in my freetime but my boss would criticize me about. "Stay concentrated" he would say.
funfact, the red pieces youd have brought back to original red with a bit of heat from a lighter or blowtorch ( carfully applied ofc ;) )
Thanks to you I have decided to bring my dads Fiero sport back to life
Just binge watched from the beginning of your Fiero series to this point. The Delco radio repair video you posted the other day got me hooked. Great content and great work. Can't wait to see the car finished up and excited to see what the next project will be. I am in the middle of fixing up an 85 Corvette. I might have to pick up a Fiero for a daily now after watching this.
@1:42 - I demand an album titled 'Songs to Restore a Fiero By' by Ronald Finger. :P
Your neighbor came by and said He wants his FIERO back.
This restoration series has been my inspiration to continue the restoration of my 4th gen camaro
It is a little strange that you don't do the color sand to get rid of the orange peel first before install no? And yes, it looks great. Nice Job.
You should have put a flex additive in the bumper paints. Not having it is what caused all the cracking in the old paint job.
Are ya gonna cut'n'buff the paint?
Ahhh the orange dead blow hammer... a thing of beauty. You can scrape some 'o' the fuzz offa the spare headliner and apply some sticky glue (perhaps NOT super glue) .. and lay the fuzz on...
I did a frame up resto on my 1974 Celica, a resto-mod really. But I can attest to the pure joy I felt when the doors were completely finished (reassembled). What a wonderful day! I fully understand your joy, Ronald! I still have issues keeping my repop door mirror in place, though. I had glass cut, and am still struggling with holding it in place. Struggle!!! But... we love it.
Dude that is the WORST place to put an emergency brake. Wonder how many people lost their virginity trying to get out or climbing in. Well done GM. XD
This is awesome! I have owned 6 different Fieros and I love that someone out there is still interested enough in them to restore one. Good luck!! Rock on!
Pontiac used to be considered the "experimental" part of GM, hence the Pontiac style: rear drum brakes that are a real pain in the assets to reassemble when it is time for a reline or rebuild, removable outer door skins, oddly shaped and rubberised inner door actuator rods, Kelsey Hayes geared ABS brakes that would gum up, batter cables hidden behind many layers of unremovable components, water pumps driven by timing belts, timing belt tensioners, etc. Pontiacs are usually fun to drive but often tough to work on.
Great way to clean corroded terminals - dip in muriatic acid, soak for a few seconds, and then thoroughly rinse. Use silicone grease on the terminals to help prevent future corrosion.
Jesus, that 3d printer scene got fuckin dark 🤣
Shut your f@#$king mouth cracks me up
For gods sake people NO HE’S NOT GETTING MARRIED it was a joke
@13:10 lol Fucking great
Project Binky reference. nice.
I was JUST starting to think of commenting that you are doing work that's almost as nice as Bad Obsession Motor Sports with Project Binky (and that's no small compliment), and then you name dropped Nic Blackhurst! LOL! Nice!
Sometimes I wonder if only I am seeing the unrelated, sinister inserts.
Amazing I have a 85 gt in puerto rico for restored I subscribe to you chanel I got motivated good yob
Check out my channel to see more car related content! Any help appreciated!!
Now that it’s almost done for the most part I say we add forced induction
Can we talk about how heavy the line “I don’t like what I’ve become” sounds
nice...
9:34 🤣🤣🤣
One of the many things I love about this channel is that he isn't afraid to show his mistakes, and I really appreciate that. It shows that nobody is perfect and that it is okay to make mistakes.
Percy completely made the video......👍
You are NOT legally driving in Texas unless you have a cracked windshield.
I so want that car!
Another example of a loose hole just needing to be paired with something large and stiff for everything to be okay...
if you haven't already, take your current door key and the lock cylinder from the deck lid to a locksmith and have them rekey it to match. 2 keys for a car is too many. three keys?? way too many!!!
Seria caro repuestos del interios y enviarlos a peru
28:35 😂😂😂😂 Bruh
Awesome just awesome
It’s been a month, where’s the next video? On a side note, I was in an ‘87 fiero when it caught fire. The car was only a year old at the time, the girl who owned it was so freaked out! Fun cars though.
the youtube algorithm ain't nice to you i saw this video just now, that is rly sad
Lol he said "shut up" to a 3d printer lmfao idk why that was so fuckn funny but it definitely was.
When do we get new content
Fiero restoration 2.0? facebook.com/marketplace/item/724343615177509/
TINT THE WINDOWS! Save that interior from the harsh sub using ceramic tint! Will also look 10000 times better..
I love my Milwaukeee tool box...
Man that is impressive work
Great job once again Ron.
I have a feeling that this Fiero will end up being the best looking and best running example of that iconic car!
Wanna check that Fiero facebook.com/RickSeitzAutomotive/
Comes out beautiful, Great job.
Hey, you can spray paint that patched hole with a fabric spray paint if it matches the headliner.
Love your rear end
I love this nine part series, we get so many more bonus parts to watch, its like were up to 13 parts already and they keep on coming!!!! Looking great too!!
This may be the longest running series I’ve watched on MNthe but I can’t get enough of it
13:22 well you can just shut your focking mouth.😂😂😂
if you are gonna replace the windshield in a Fiero it is best to have the headliner and roof panel off so you do not damage them and the glass will damage them if they are installed when removing the windshield you should install the roof panel just before installing the windshield.
This is super awesome! You are doing an incredible job!
best horse best horse best horse
When you came off that bit at 18:02 i gasped because i thought you just gashed the paint with a drill
Discovered your channel once u first started this series, then totally forgot abt it, now it’s good to be back
Just a tip for when you are working with rubber seals that you need to bend into place, like on your luggage rack, soak the rubber in hot water for a few minutes first.
Just a little tip, if you ever have to install rubber like you did on the luggage rack, put in boiling water for a few minutes, makes it alot easier on your thumbs
Ron one or two questions,,how are the floor panels? What will you use to undercoat the bottom,,to protect from rusting? I have a Nissan Pulsar I want to restore,,I know is a p.o.s lol
This is likely my favorite series on MNthe. So, I bought a t-shirt. Just what I need, a t-shirt with a Fiero on it. Great Videos!!
You Sir, are a remarkable man. I didn't like Fieros. Now I do. Have to go and order some t-shirts and patron subscriptions..
"Another loose hole needing something large and stiff to make everything okay again." Absolutely savage.
"Wow...I definitely should've painted the part" "Alright! I painted the part!
I just bought a t-shirt. I am blown away by your effort, skill, ingenuity, and humility. I also had a 1984 Pontiac Firebird T/A HO when I was a young man. So this brings back a lot of memories.
What about the wheels
4:36
Great thinking for adding the heat shrink tubing to the end of the door latch rod. You always come up with innovative solutions to seemingly simple yet important problems!
