The Journey Begins | 1985 Fiero 2M4 Revival - Part 1

After sitting for 20 years, I am going to bring this 1985 Pontiac Fiero 2M4 back to life. Follow along on the first part of this journey!
Also side note: I said the car had no rust in the video, and I meant real pitting and eaten out metal. The car has surface rust, but it's just that. Don't get on me for that in the comments :)

  • if i had the money, and i know this is gonna sound weird to some people but, i would purchase either a 1980's Pontiac Fiero or a 1990's Toyota MR2 (or both if i could afford it lol) and build them to be kit car replicas. yes i know the whole thing about owning either of those cars is to say you own either of those cars (and simply because their awesome classics some of us never got to see and drive), but i just like how they were meant to look like mini super cars of the day; so why not try and actually make them look like the italian super cars we all had on our bedroom walls. also wouldnt care if the replica made half the real ones power, it can still be a fun car to drive

  • 10:33 pro tip: never scrub in circles especially on a car that dirty because if you catch a hard peice of dirt it could scratch the paint and circle scratches can be seen from every angle while straight scratches aren’t as easy to see

  • I had 2 Fieros in high school. An 86 coupe and an 87 coupe. The 87 had close to 200,000 miles and the odometer stopped by ran fairly well. The 86 had overheating issues so I parted with them after high school. Bought another one seven years ago and sold it again. Now I'm wanting another one and feel like I have the same novice mechanical abilities you discussed in this video. Can't wait to see your grand finale.

  • im super excited that i found your video series. I fell in love with the fiero after seeing a mechanic buddy of mine's, and a couple weeks ago bought one down in kansas, one of the 84 Indy Pace car editions, one of 2000 made, and one of only 250 of those with a manual! This will also be my first project car, and i cant wait to get her on the road. with any luck, the engine will start this weekend, for the first time in the past decade.
